Monthly Highlight: BTAA GIS Conference 2022

Established in 2020, the BTAA GIS Conference is a virtual event organized by geospatial information users and educators in Big Ten institutions to present their work, exchange information, and develop potential collaborations. It is open to all participants, including those outside the BTAA network.
Monthly Highlight: Item Page Layout Redesign

We tackled a long standing design wish to utilize full page widths and reduce the white space on item pages. This layout prioritizes item previews, such as a geospatial web service or a IIIF viewer, and provides more options for further adjusting location of the metadata and the access links.

During the September GeoBlacklight (GBL) Community Sprint, we released GeoBlacklight version 4.0 . This version provides full support for the OpenGeoMetadata ‘Aardvark’ metadata schema and represents concerted efforts from many in the GBL community - Read more about the release here.
